Sometimes a little activity does not hurt
I was in one of my classes the other day and they were talking about how exercise helps get your brain focused more. We watched a Canadian news clip on how there was a teacher named Alison Cameron who was inspired by a book called Spark by John J. Ratey. Alican convinced her principle to allow her to put exercise equipment into her class room, and before class each student would work out for 20 minutes. The results were phenomenal and all of her students improved in there concentration and grades
Digital Story Telling
I love the idea of digital story telling in elementary schools. It not only allows the children to have fun by reading there story as it is being recorded, but it also allows them to here how clear they can read. I think that this is very useful and I think that it will help children get over the fear of reading out loud.
here is a link with an article that talks about digital story telling in the classroom.
